focus

This video is pure and oozing power!

Will Smith talks about how he thinks. Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about how we should only learn from the best. He is very good at his job, without a doubt. And the level of success he has achieved makes me want to listen to what he has to say. Personally, I don’t care about Hollywood lifestyle, but I believe I can apply Will’s words to my situation.

So let’s watch this video, because it is truly remarkable. Not just what he talks about, but how he talks is interesting here. The non-verbal communication. He speaks with passion and authority. He is intense and excited when he talks.

My favorite quote from this video is this:

” I realize that to have the level of success, that I want to have, It is difficult to spread out and do multiple things. It takes such a desperate, obsessive focus, with all your fibers, all your heart, and all your creativity…” ~ Will Smith

.

Of course there is more wisdom in this video. You’re gonna love it.

Thank you for stopping by at my blog. I hope my blog makes a positive difference in your life. Explore it. Above all. Make a list of goals. I recommend 5 goals max at any given time.

I would love to know, what is your favorite quote from this video. I’m sure you have one. Please share with us your comment below. What were you thinking when you were listening to Will Smith?

This is an incredible video of the true master Anthony Robbins. He tells us that in order to get extraordinary things done, we have to get ourselves into an extraordinary state of mind. We have to create  FOCUS.

But the real question is: What do we focus on?

The answer is: On our exciting goals.

And the best way to create that focus is through the use of GREAT QUESTIONS. Not lousy questions but GREAT QUESTIONS.

I have been trying to undarstand what it is, that separates greatness from mediocrity in life.

Two words:

Number one : GOALS

Number two: GREAT QUESTIONS to direct your focus toward YOUR goals.

Action: Have goals. Ask great questions. Your success is guaranteed.

A question to my readers: How do you stay focused on your goals (if you have them)?  Please click on Comments below to share your experience:) I would love to see your feedback. Thank you.

When jogging on the streets of Buenos Aires this morning, I saw a street juggler, who entertained the car drivers for small change. It was about 90 degrees Farenheit ( 30 Celsius) and he was barefoot walking on hot street and sidewalks. It felt really hot.

I don’t know anything about this guy. In one way I admire him for trying to earn some money. On the other side I wish he could use his time in a better way. I don’t know, maybe he has family, maybe he does go to school to get better life. I will never know.

Since it is a Thanksgiving weekend in the United States, while I was looking at the street juggler, I had these thoughts of deep gratitude and I felt genuinely thankful for the good life and opportunities we have in good, ol’ US (despite all the problems).

I don’t understand why the world is the way it is. I probably will never understand the why behind the workings of this world we live in. But this video only confirms my observation and what this blog is all about: Having goals is our only chance to have some control in this thing called life.

I want to end my post with the last line from Desiderata written by Max Ehrmann in 1927: “With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy”.

Derek

PS: I don’t carry money with me while jogging…
